South Star Web Design ("we", "us") is a web design studio based in Portsmouth, UK. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect

This website does not run analytics and does not set cookies of its own. Our homepage loads a script from Trustpilot (see "Third-party services" below).

When you send the enquiry form on our contact page, the details you enter (name, business name, email address, phone number, website, business type, chosen package, desired launch date and your message) are sent securely to our server, checked, and forwarded to our inbox as an email so we can reply. Nothing is stored on this website itself, and the form is only sent after you tick the consent box.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To carry out work you've asked us to do.

We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for marketing.

Third-party services

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. You can read more in Google's privacy policy.

Our homepage also loads scripts from Trustpilot, which we use to manage review invitations and display our live Trustpilot rating. Your browser requests those scripts from Trustpilot's servers, so Trustpilot receives your IP address as part of the request. You can read more in Trustpilot's privacy policy.

Enquiry form submissions are delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service acting on our behalf. Resend processes the details you submit solely to deliver that email to us. You can read more in Resend's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and client records for as long as we work together plus any period required for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll sort it out. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
